Critical Thinking involves different types of thinking styles that exist within the thinking and decision process to assist people making significance of why decisions are made in different circumstances. Team A will be researching the four types of thinking styles which are emotional, logical, optimistic, closed and open question thinking. Most individuals use only one thinking style, while the minority of individuals uses several thinking styles when making decisions. The minority who are capable of identifying and using different types of thinking styles are depicted as constant communicators.
Emotional and Logical Thinking
Emotional thinking is a basic thought process based on what is already known through experiences and life events. Emotional thinking is a part of everyday life and causes a person to focus on details, which in turn drives learning and memory. Inspiration steams from emotions, which are part of human nature. Without emotions, music, paintings, poems or any creative type of work formed from within, the emotional side of the mind would be nonexistent.
Critical thinking allows people to take charge of emotional thoughts, which encourages feelings, emotions and desires. Critical thinking provides mental tools needed to understand completely how to reason and to take command of feelings, thoughts, desires, and actions.
Balancing reactions with the strategies of logical thinking is required in order to come up with sensible solutions in any situation. In most a situations, an individual would have to change the automatic response that pushes a person’s to his or her limits, when a strong emotion is attached to the experience.
