Summary, Conclusion, and Recommendation

A. Summary

In summary, the proponents of this study have made an analysis of the current state of advertising and manual transaction methods of Ternida Travel Agency to see if there is a need and a possibility for the implementation of an Interactive Webspage. The study indicates a positive response from the employees as well as the owner. Further study has indicated key areas in the traditional advertising and manual transaction method that can be provided with an online equivalent. These areas are booking, forums, animated ads and map navigation.
Corresponding functions within the Interactive Webpage were made to replicate the aforementioned areas. Flyers and brochures have been replaced with online advertisements, which is basically a digitized form of the advertising strategies. The booking transactions were simulated through booking forms and forums. In addition, interactive map has been inserted for navigating purposes.
The technologies involved in the development of the proposed system consisted mostly of free but sofisticated technologies such as PHP, MySQL, and Apache, and programming techniques like AJAX. The Internet became the medium through which the proposed system was accessed.
The system is capable of providing new opportunities and possibilities in advertising and online transaction purposes. Overall, the proponents believe that the proposed system, the Interactive Webpage for Ternida Travel Agency, would be of great benefit and help both for the customers and for the Ternida Travel Agency staff.
