How Does Communication Affect an Organization?

Can you imagine your manager sending you an email stating that you received a poor performance evaluation? This will result in you not receiving a promotion. Suddenly becoming appauled by the bad news, you rush into your boss's office, only to realize that she is not there. This email was sent to you before she left for the day. Now standing there, you think to yourself, “Couldn't she have communicated this to me in a more effective way?” Communication is the key to a strong and effective business organization. It is needed in all areas, such as clerical, technical, social, and management. This is the only way for information to be transferred effectively throughout the workplace. It needs to flow effectively from management down to the co-workers and from the co-workers back up to management. Poor communication can lead to conflict and low employee morale in the workplace. This is a very important issue to overcome and it may not always be easy.
