Television Having A Negative Impact On Society
Does Television have a Negative Influence on Society? Today’s Society is heavily influenced by television which contains many negative networks that has a major impact affecting our Children. Television has contraband of continued shows that provide distinct negativity for our society today. Such shows consist of violence that disrupts a child’s learning process and that can also alter the moral beliefs that an elderly person may have. It is pathetic that in such a technology based society, such a simple thing as television can have a negative effect on people. Drugs is the ultimate peak of what our society encounters and is behind displayed on television that results to a negative influence shown on television. For example there was an episode called the corner that was based upon a family struggling in a basic drug war. This family lived amid an open-air drug market that has all but destroyed the row house neighborhood. A young teenager is fighting a heroin drug addiction and struggling for survival. His mother also struggles with the same drug addiction as she tries to be a mother. Another television show that exposes drugs and its usage while continuing to make a negative impact on our society and displaying such negativity to our society would be intervention that profiles people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior that has brought them to the point of personal crisis and estranged them from their family and friends. These television shows are a negative influence and have an impact to continue to introduce such drugs in our society. teens and young adults feel taking prescriptions drugs will not have an effect on them because the drugs are legally prescribed by physicians. But, they are unaware of the side affect and the dangerous outcome of becoming addicted to the medication.
