I lived most of my life in Virginia, on a small farm. We had many animals, mostly because my parents wanted to instill good work ethics in me, so we worked together taking care of the cows, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, dogs, and cats. I enjoyed the work because animals give you many rewards. We lived in a small county, outside of Richmond, called Charles City County. There I Attended elementary school, and middle school, we found the school system there to be behind in their academic teachings. So in my 8th grade year, my family began to search for a better school system for my high school years. My Grandfather lived in Kodak Tennessee, and we had heard great things about the school systems in the surrounding areas. So at that time we narrowed our search to the area that would soon be my new home. My Family moved to Tennessee in August 2005 so that I could further my education here in Gatlinburg at what I’ve found to be the best school setting I’ve ever been to.   I am very grateful to have the opportunity of being a student at Gatlinburg Pittman high school, and I look forward to furthering my education in college.

I have been able to work with a very appreciative special needs group, we met three years ago at my parents business, and I look forward to working with them each year.

I was able to tell them about trout and what conditions they need to live along with growth and nutritional needs. Some of these kids had never been fishing before so this also gives me the joy of   helping them catch their first fish. This takes most of my time when I am not in school. I also try to volunteer when I can. This summer I spent a week helping out with The Lords Child. I knew...
