“Simply put, strategic planning determines where an organization is going over the next year or more, how it’s going to get there and how it’ll know if it got there or not” (McNamara, 2008). Liberty’s strategic planning will revolve around its desire to grow. Liberty Christian School will distinguish between strategy and tactics and apply its strategic choice to achieve its long-term objectives. This paper will identify critical success factors to implement Liberty’s plan. A strategic roadmap will be created to outline the plan implementation. Once the roadmap is completed a tactical plan will be developed based on the road map. Forecasting financials and other measures will validate selected business strategies and once these are examined an effective strategic planning and control cycle will be established.

Executive Summary

The faculty and staff of Liberty Christian School is dedicated to the character development and moral training of children. The administrative staff is committed to providing a Christian environment conducive to fellowship and learning. Liberty’s goal is to share with a child and his/her family the vision as stated in its mission statement. Liberty’s desire is to assist children in their individual development with respect to a world view founded in biblical and ethical values. The goal is to partner with each child to further his/her understanding of the world through the works and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Background

In order to fulfill Liberty’s plan some background information will help determine what Liberty hopes to achieve.
