Special Effects In X Men 2

General Stryker's troops are attacking the Xavier's School for special children.

Wolverine had stayed behind to look after the kids at the school and now he has to defend the place. He did a good job in getting rid of most of the troops but he has a lapse of concentration when General Stryker talks to him, as Wolverine has always been curious about his past. Stryker gives Wolverine some hints about his past but Bobby Drake (also known as ice man) a young X-kid senses danger and creates an ice wall in front of Wolverine so that he is able to escape without getting hurt. This effect was produced by studying time-lapse photography of ice forming on a lake, making note of its staccato and jittery motion. The effect was done in the movie to show the different powers mutants had in the show. It was used really effectively in the movie at the right time and also showed that Bobby used his powers properly. Such an event can never happen in real life.

Therefore no one can emulate such powers, as it is impossible in reality. An amazing effect.

When Ronnie (Bobby little brother) realizes that Bobby and the others were mutants and called the cops. When the cops arrived, Pyro exhibits his fire manipulation abilities in the confrontation with the police. The character is seen to fan a...
