How To Show Respect To Others
It is something everyone wants, not many have, and few want to give. Most people would appreciate "just a little bit," and most should give just that. Unfortunately, many times, this does not happen. Perhaps this basic concept of respect is not understood. We may learn both that our everyday lives go better when we respect the things that deserve to be respected and that we should respect some things independently of considerations of how our lives would go. People do need to understand that if they want the respect, then they have to earn it for themselves and others.
In order to have or earn respect, you must first have manners. Manners are something used every day to make an adequate impression on others and to feel modest about one. How you first talk to someone can be a first impression. If someone was rude and disrespectful, then that person more and likely would not want to talk to you or have anything to do with you. But if you were nice and caring, then I’m almost positive they would. That’s why everybody should always speak with dignity each and everyday. In addition to just speaking with dignity, you should also treat others how you would want to be treated. I believe everyone has heard that at least once or twice in their lifetime, because it’s true. If you were to treat someone with so much disrespect and attitude, they would return the favor and do the exact thing back. That is just how people are today and I don’t blame them one bit.
Another good way to earn respect is by listening. It is one of the most important skills you could possibly have. Everybody has to use it each and everyday or otherwise you wouldn’t even be able to communicate. Along with that, when you are talking to someone, you need to have eye contact.
