Secretive

  1. The reason why the wife didn’t want to tell anyone about her life is because she was scared to. She thinks people wouldn’t believe her. They would talk behind her back and think that she is a nut to say something like that. They’d tell her that fights happen in the best of families but it takes two to tango. She wouldn’t even write about it because she had the feeling that her husband would find it and ask her whom she was writing the diary or journal to. He would get mad and start calling her names and hit her. She felt like she would be talking against her husband if she ever dropped a hint about the way she was being treated. She didn’t want the word to spread around either.
  2. The type of control that the husband had over his wife was she had to take care of the children and could never hire a babysitter. The fact that it was a Saturday and she went out to do some errands and hired a babysitter set him off. He also had mind control over her, by not letting her talk and having to do everything for him. If he is wrong about something she has to say he is right and keep quiet. This type of control would drive someone crazy.
  3. The reason why the outside world didn’t notice what was going one with this family was because she always kept quiet. She would tell a soul. He was a hardworking man, and she looked like a good housewife. The looked like a normal family. But behind the doors of there home was an angry man who took everything out on his wife. A wife who was scared for her life, if she had ever said anything to anyone she would pay the consequences.
