Qualities of a good neighbor
Wherever you live, you have at least a neighbor nearby. A neighbor can directly or indirectly affect your life; therefore, a good neighbor is very important. In this essay, I would like to list and talk about necessary traits and qualities in a good neighbor that I would like to have.
Firstly, a good neighbor should be a helpful person, to assist you and help you when necessary. Neighbors are very important especially when you have you have problems. A good neighbor is a person who’s willing to help, look after your things when you are on a business or something, even if your house is on fire or you are suffering from a heart attack, who would be the first to help, call for an ambulance else than your neighbor? In short, helpfulness is the most essential quality that is expected from a neighbor.
Secondly, I may consider reliability as a very necessary quality in the next- door neighbor. It’s too bad to have a neighbor who can’t be trusted! How can you have a drunken neighbor looking after your kids? You won’t even interact with that neighbor. Thus, there’s nothing better than having a dependable person living nearby.
Last but not least, an inquisitive neighbor isn’t welcome anywhere. You can’t find it as much unpleasant as a neighbor coming up and extracting incidents from your house to make up a gossip. This kind of people are uncertain of others privacy. It’s so bad to have a neighbor like that!
There might be other qualities, as being friendly and giving. Many many other qualities are expected. It is different from one person to the other. For me, if I could choose a neighbor, that should be a helpful, reliable and incurious one.
