Abstract Introduction Psychology is vast in its concentrations. For many who set out to study this field, much is to be learned even with regards to its divisions of study. An important factor in choosing this field is to know what each division has to offer and how it can benefit your interest in choosing to work in it. One field of interest is Clinical psychology. Clinical psychology is broken into many sections itself ranging from psychotherapy to neuropsychology. Even the sections itself are broken down into are more specified but, we will take a look at the history of Clinical psychology dealing particularly with neuropsychology and its specifics. Neuropsychology deals with the brain and its connection to psychology, as well as damage that can occur to the brain. Unlike other concentrated fields of psychology, neuropsychology delves into both the physiological and experimental side of psychology as it relates to actual brain function. As it deals in these areas it takes on more of a scientific approach yet there is still an underlying question of what part the mind plays in relation to the brain and how it affects how the brain works. In answering this question one must first find the common link. Neuropsychology deals with many different brain diseases that can cause a psychological affect along with physical or biological defects. History of Clinical Psychology Neuropsychology Neuropsychology is a planned idea with an exact order that probes into each brain while it observes the behavior of each person. Neuropsychology seeks to link how the mind and brain have crossed and caused disorder. More importantly, how these causes have affected the body both mentally and physically.
