As you review, consider the following question: Do you use a problem-solving process? Answer the following questions in 100-200 words each: There is one man, 1 raft that can only hold 2 species at a time, and 3 animals. Each of them have some sort of conflicts: the cat and the dog, and the mouse and the cat. I have to get all of the animals to the opposite side of the river safely while avoiding the conflict. The question is how? It seems plausible to say that the animals will not fight if the owner is present. I eliminated the possibilities of leaving the cat and mouse alone as well as the possibility of leaving the dog and cat alone. There has to be a way to move the animals safely and without incident. I immediately looked at my restrictions. I found that I was only bound by the fact that I could not leave the cat and dog on the same side nor could I leave the cat and mouse on the same side. There was not limit to how many trips I could take across the river nor was there anything stopping the animals from being transported back and forth a certain number of times. I moved the cat first to eliminate the cat and dog fighting as well as the cat and mouse, this left the dog and mouse on the first side of the river. Once I dropped the cat off I went back to get the dog and carried him over. Upon dropping him off I picked the cat back up and returned him to the first side of the river. This eliminated the dog and cat from fighting. Once I reached the first side of the river with the cat., he was taken off and I picked up the mouse and proceeded to carry it over to the second side where the dog was waiting, this eliminated the cat and mouse from fighting.
