Dear Dr. Edwards,

I am writing this letter in regards to the food that you have at your restaurant in Norman, Oklahoma. I Work as a Recruiter for the United States Army. We are hosting a benefit for special needs children whose parents are in the military. This benefit is called Project Kids.
Project Kids is a program that we have held for over 4 years in Norman. We have helped over 5,000 children to learn how to exercise, cook and take care of themselves independently. We have also had the local newspaper come and take photos and interview the children with their families. The local community has helped, by donating tables, tents and equipment to help support Project Kids.
I am writing this letter asking for support for Project Kids. I would like help with sack lunches for the children that come to the event. I have talked with Mr. Bill Edwards at the local Norman store. He informed me that I needed to contact the regional office to get it approved. I know you will benefit from the experience of helping special needs children. I am enclosing a DVD of the event last year so that you may see that our event is put on with a professional manner and the needs of the children are being met. Feel free to call me and let me set up an appointment with you to discuss the details in full. This event is scheduled for October 01, 2008. I would appreciate a reply before July 30, 2008. Thank you for your time in reading this letter, but I hope you decide to give to the children of Project Help.

Sincerely

SSG David Carr
