Pass English 40

English Class at Citrus College
In order to complete the paragraphs, be prepared, and avoid distractions to pass Mrs. Martinez English class successfully. First of all, don’t rush through your work and try to take your time. If you are rushing and careless about your assignments and papers, it will show the less effort you put on the paper. If you want to receive a good grade, do better and take your time. Like Mrs. Martinez says, “It isn’t difficult, you can do it. It just takes time.” Another thing is to always remember to complete all the steps for the paragraphs, such as free write, outline, and rough drafts. When it comes to peer-edit, don’t be the one who doesn’t feel like participating and slacking off saying, “Oh, yeah it’s good.” Then talk to your partners about other subjects, because you’re not helping them and yourself to learn. Secondly, coming to class organized is important. Have your highlighters in your backpack at all times, when Mrs. Martinez gives out example hand outs. Everyday in class will be required to use the work book to do exercises classes. When the rough drafts are due, make sure you remember to print three rough draft papers for the group peer-edits. Since I always forgot, I’ve had to do my own peer edit and not know what I was missing or what I can approve on. However, if you bring the three rough drafts and correct. Lastly, pay attention and don’t get distracted. Don’t be on your phone texting, because you will miss the information Mrs. Martinez is explaining or lecturing. Also avoid sitting in the back of the room or next to the wall, because you will easily fall asleep from becoming comfortable. When you’re sitting in the back, you can barely hear Mrs. Martinez. If you make sure you follow all the steps for English class, you will be able to pass the class.
