Proper diet, exercise, stability, along with proper moral direction will ensure your child or children of a good healthy start in life. Sometimes we as parents tend to get caught up in the everyday hassles of work and our own lives that we tend to forget the most important ones, our children. Being a parent is much more than just making sure there is food on the table. We as parents should make sure our children are healthy in all areas of their lives and it starts at conception.
Proper dieting begins at conception for moms and their babies. It is important for the mother to eat right and have a good diet while she is pregnant. The mother-to-be should eat foods with fiber including breads and cereals and she can also get the fiber in of fruits and vegetables as well. Mom also needs to eat foods with protein and do not forget the dairy; she will need to eat dairy products as well, such as cheeses, milk, and yogurt. Mothers to be can find many examples of a good and healthy diet by visiting the local health store, library, or by searching on the Internet. Now that mom has taken care of herself during pregnancy, she will need to make sure the child eats properly from when he or she is born, to the toddler stage and beyond.
Each child is different; one may like milk, while the others don’t, it is important to treat each child’s needs individually. It is also important that mom’s breast feed their baby because this helps form that special bond between mom and baby. If the baby is not able to breast feed, then formula is the next best thing because it has almost the same nutrients found in breast milk. Here come the solid foods.
