It is 9:42 AM and the children are out in the playground after learning and singing new songs, they have also had something to eat and are all ready to play.
It is so cold outside that Alana runs to one of the teachers looking for her sweater, but by accident grabs the wrong one and the teacher needs to take it off so she just stands there waiting to get hers.
Alana begins trying to get into the tree house and has some trouble in the progress, and once she gets in she runs back out and starts running around until she finds another toy to play with.
She stares at two girls playing on the swing and as soon as she finds a chance she grabs it and gets on it, as before she only plays for a few minutes before she jumps back off, this time she just walks around and finds a place to sit down at.
Alana loses focus really easily and is attracted to new and various things. As said in the Piaget’s sensorimotor stage “_an infant’s knowledge of the world is limited to their sensory perceptions and motor activities”_
She jumps up and gets on a toy car but sits down and stares at the other children and the teachers. She then gets out of the car and begins to run around the playground and bumps against another kid making them both go to the floor, as the other child begins to cry, Alana just lays there and begins rolling around.
Alana runs to one of the teachers and sits down on her lap and stares at all the other children for a good ten minutes. She jumps back up and grabs a smaller toy car and pushes it around avoiding the kids and teachers by taking curves and turns at the last minute.
Finally Alana sits down in a corner alone not wanting to play anymore, the teachers call her to go and play and she shakes her head letting them know she doesn’t want to. Another child screams “bird” and Alana rushes over looking for such...
