Movie Analysis

Abstract
In order to write this paper to the best of my ability, I did a lot of internet searches about movie reviews and interpretations. I read some reviews written by professionals and I also read some reviews written by normal individuals that wanted to voice their opinions about a film. I also read an article on a website about how to analyze a movie. The use of the text from this class was very important throughout my writing. The text does a great job of providing many details about the different aspects of a movie. One thing that I noticed in my research is that non-professionals do not always agree with what the critics have to say about a movie. If a person goes to a movie and is thoroughly entertained, they are satisfied with the movie. Critics go into a movie looking for mistakes in acting, storyline, CG and many other things. My research has also shown me that older critics are often harder on movies than younger critics.
Introduction
Some people think that analyzing a film is as simple as stating whether the movie is good or bad. I’m sure that people that chose to be a film critic as their profession would be happy to tell them that a film review is not that simple at all. The analysis of a movie should actually be a very careful step by step process, and that process is not always quick and easy. Proper analysis requires a person to pay very close attention to certain elements such as: sound effects, the movie score, acting, special effects, continuity, the effects of colors, and even how well the movie was edited. Many people believe that a movie that is long wasn’t edited very well, and they may not even take the time to watch the movie. Analyzing a film, of course, isn’t the same thing as doing a film review, but I feel that a film needs to be analyzed in order to do a review.
