Modern Technologies
Today I would like to tell you about effect of modern technologies on my life. Many people are dependent on modern technologies. I don’t notice that every day but when I thought harder I found out that there is the effect of modern technologies on my life and it is quite big. Every morning I wake up off mobile phone alarm clock, I send hundreds of text messages, I listen to music on my CD player everywhere I go and the first thing I do when I come back home is checking all news on the Internet.
As usual there are some advantages and disadvantages of modern technologies. Firstly, modern equipment makes my life easer. For ex I can send a message quickly to my friends from other city or even from other country instead of taking much more time sending it per post. And they can write me back as fast as I did using the internet or a mobile phone.
Other advantage I can tell about is expanding your circle of friends. I have made a lot of new friends when I’d have started using the Internet. There you can communicate with people having same interests as you have. For ex. You like one music band very much. On the Internet you can find special web sites and forums where people are discussing about exactly your favorite band! Just like that I found a lot of friends from different cities of Lithuania and I can successfully keep in touch with them with help of modern technologies such as a computer and a mobile phone.
Basically, a computer is a good thing because it has a lot of functions. If you have a computer you don’t have to buy a music player, video player, actually you don’t need even a TV. You can read newspapers on the Internet, so you don’t have to go outside to buy a new one. Also you can use a computer as a phone, because there are some programmes that you can call to another computer and talk for hours for free.
Of course there is one more advantage. That’s entertainment. For ex I can listen to my favorite songs wherever I go if I have my walkman. Even...
