Modern Lifestyle Hard On Peoples Health

Taiwan has become one of the region's most developed nations, and its society has, in the process, become increasingly cosmopolitan. While these changes have improved our lifestyle, however, they may also be bringing new health worries.

In the opinion of a student at Taipei Medical University, one culprit is Western food, which has become very popular and common. People are eating much larger portions of meat, as well as cheese, butter, and worse, the fried foods at fast-food restaurants.

Our modern lifestyle also keeps us constantly on the go. There is usually no time for exercise. And the rush-rush-rush outlook also leads to poorer eating habits. Breakfast, if eaten, and lunch may consist of pastries or fast food; square meals are becoming rare. People need to pay much greater attention to their eating and exercising habits. It is not only a question of waistlines; the way one feels, one's health, and one's life expectancy are also on the line.
