Atticus shows integrity when he is defending Tom Robinson in court. Tom was charged of raping a white woman Mayella Ewell. Judge Taylor and the jury men where all white people and were probably going to send Tom to jail. Atticus knows that Tom may not have a chance of being not guilty. Atticus tries his very best to defend tom to the best that he can and prove him not guilty. Mayella and her father bob make up a false story saying tom raped her but she really didn’t so he can be sent to jail.
