Planning
Planning is a function used to set predetermined strategies by coordinating a strict regime of meetings and or conference calls to communicate the objectives given by the hierarchy. Research of the current market environment and macro-environment will help design contingency plans so that obstacles can be avoided. It is important not to delay in planning due to deadlines and rapidly changing market environment.
Management evaluates their current position in the market and what is needed to make the necessary changes to compete in the future. The company will also look at internal and external factors that may potentially affect the company and the goals set forth. Rane, Sanjay (2007)
My company requires that each advisor design a business plan tailored to the fundamentals of the Client Management Process or CMP. Basically, the process includes working with your partner to cross-penetrate various products and services while delivering a positive client experience. Networking with internal resources provides opportunities outside the traditional method of gaining business. Conversely, providing additional opportunities for internal partners. For example, a client that has a personal relationship with the organization and their small business relationship is with a competitor, this client will be formally introduced to a colleague from the small business team where their expertise may better serve the client.
Organizing
After the initial planning process, the organization of the collected resources established during this phase should be reviewed prior to implementation.
