When looking back on my childhood. It was full of a lot of happy time. I was born in Columbus, Ohio to a teenage mother and father. They married at the age of sixteen. They tried their best to give me the best but were just too young. My father’s parents keep me a lot when I was going up. After the birth of my brother my parents’ divorce. I lived with her for a year after the divorce. Then my dad took her back to court and filed for custody of me. Instead of fighting they asked me who I wanted to live with. Since I spent most of my time with my grandparents I chose them. Next thing I knew I was off to West Virginia. My grandparents had moved there a year earlier. I had two uncles one was one year older and the other was two years old that me. I was raised with them; they are more like my brothers than my uncles.
My father remarried and had another son. So I now am the oldest of three children. I spent every summer in Ohio. Half with my mom and the other half with my dad. I have a lot of great memories with them. I think my grandparents for taking me in. If not for them I don’t know what would have happened to me. I have the best of both worlds I tell them. I’m the oldest child to my mom and dad the oldest grandchild and the baby to my grandparents. My mother kept my brother and tried to raise him. She is one of those women who are a good person but not a mother type. My brother had a lot of trouble throughout his childhood and left home at the age of sixteen.
