Life Goals

One of my goals for the future is to obtain a sense of being personally fulfilled, regardless of what I choose to do professionally. I want to be satisfied with my decisions, to be able to accept and forgive, and most of all to be able to live up to the expectations I have for myself. I realize I cannot set my goals and dreams on the basis of others and I need to achieve things for myself. I will only accomplish my goal of being fulfilled when I am able to live my life for myself and still be able to provide love and support to others.
My primary goal is to be a role model for my two daughters. I want them to be able to look at their mother and see that through hard work and determination, the entire world is open and full of possibilities for them. In the not too distant future, I will reach my goal of obtaining my college degree and new doors of opportunity will open for me and my family.
Currently, I currently serve as the Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of United Church Homes and Services, a not-for-profit health care provider for North Carolina and Virginia. This position affords me a great deal of latitude in carrying out my day to day responsibilities and I am part of the senior management team for our Corporate Offices. I serve as chief liaison between our Corporate Office and our Board of Directors. My ability to communicate and coordinate well in my professional life secures my job stability. I believe these traits have been the key to my success in this position for the past ten years. My employer has been very supportive of my continuing education goals, fully funding my education through a scholarship program, and has expressed interest in helping me utilize my education for the betterment of the organization.
Following graduation, I plan to focus a great deal of attention to the development of state-of-the-art childcare programs in each of our Continuing Care Retirement Communities in order to further our mission of...
