Stanislavski developed a number of rehearsal and performance techniques that were designed in order to help an actor awaken his/her senses and hopefully make them achieve the goal of them ‘becoming a character'. The super-objective can be described as the underlying aim of the play that is being worked towards throughout each unit. Each character possesses his/her own super-objective, which they attempt to personally achieve during the improvisation. An actor must develop his/her imagination and learn to think on any theme, which will help an actor to adapt easily to any role. Knowing extra withheld details about a character will give depth to the actor's performance and will give the actor a greater perspective and "a feeling of movement in the role.
