Italy And Its Amazing Sights

Europe: Italy

The European country I would like to visit is Italy. Italy has a lot of famous landmarks, historical sites, and many other great places to visit. Here are some of the buildings and famous sites I would like to see if I ever go to Italy:

THE CLOCK TOWER

The clock in the Clock Tower is known for its accuracy and is more than a hundred years old. Everyone who goes there tries to set their watches according to the time shown on the clock! This hundred-foot tower is visible from almost every spot within the city's limits.

FAMOUS PLACES

Some of the famous places I want to see are the Coloseums, the Pantheon, Trevi fountain, Olympic stadium, and the Vatican. The following states about why I want to visit it and some information on it: COLOSEUMS- The coloseum is the symbol of Rome's eternity. It was built over two hundred years ago. I would like to see the major events that usually takes place in the coliseum.

PANTHEON- The Pantheon is the only complete piece of roman architecture left in the world. The Pantheon is held up by monolithic marble pillars each weighing about 9o tons, which were brought to Rome by ship from Egypt over two thousand years ago.

TEVRI FOUNTAIN- The water comes from an underground stream as old as ancient Rome itself and is absolutely freezing. It's like a wishing fountain where you drop a coin and make a wish.

VATICAN MUSEUM- There's not much to tell about the Vatican museum but its an amazing place to visit. You can find real dead mummies and statues of many different kinds of unusual animal.

In my opinion Italy's an exciting place to go for vacation. Since the roads are traffic-free there's plenty of places for kids to run and play!
