The terrible day of my life
Learning something new is a very important in person's life. Knowing new things makes person's life easier. If whatever we learn is not complete, than it may cause a big problem. A small thing can create a big issue. I had a very bad experience, which forces me to believe that, 'A Little Learning is a Dangerous Thing'. The first day of my learning how to cook was very excited and wonderful. When I was 11 years old, I asked my mother to teach me how to cook. One day, my mother taught me to make pasta. I was so much eager to make something by myself and serve to my mother, who cooked everyday for all of us. My mother told me what I should do, and what I should take care about. Then, my mother and I made pasta, and served to everybody. That was delicious. After eating pasta all my family members praised me, so, I decided to make pasta again by myself and invited all my friends. One the other day, I invited all my friends to my house for a party and decided to make pasta by myself. I started to make pasta when no one else at the house. First, I took a pot, pasta, and other ingredients. Then, I put a pot on the stove with pasta and water in it. I didn't know how much water I should add in it, so I put approximate amount of water. After some time, I smelt like something was burning, while I was waiting for the pasta to cook. When I went and checked the pot on the stove, I realized that it was burning from the bottom. Then, I stirred it little and again waiting it to cook. After some time, it started burning again because of the lack of water. Also smoke spread all around the kitchen. Because of the smoke the fire alarm started to ring. I was so scared, and didn't know what I should do. I immediately opened all windows and turned on exhaust fan to reduce the effect of the smoke.
