High School vs. College
There are many similarities, and differences between high school and college. High School was the best three years of my life. Now at College it is even better than high school, and my eyes are opened to a whole new environment. College is a whole new step. You go away to a world all new to you. You have to leave your friends, and set out to make new relationships. It is an emotional step a lot of people are not ready for. You no longer have your parents to be at your side to help you through your every problem. You have to become responsible on yourself, and your acts. You are introduced to new things such as parties, alcohol and friends. Differences between high school and college can include: responsibility, friendship and schedules. High school gives you an education in all subjects preparing you for the university. The university is an education in a specific field preparing you for a job.
Responsibility is related to accept all the consequences of your acts. It is one of the most important moral values a person can have. Responsibility on high school and college does not have a big difference if you are a responsible person. In both, college and high school, you have to keep good grades to have success. In high school, instruction is directed; teachers are clear about what students should be able to do, and what will be on tests. In college, it is up to each student to read and understand the assigned material. High school classes will review the areas that students have trouble with. College professors continue with the classes. Those that are not ready will have to accept failing grades and try again. The professors in college expect student’s best effort. Responsibility includes bringing all the materials to class, try to be always on time and follow the rules.
