Father Of Inventions

Most people believe that “miracle is more important than the saint” and this applies in the context of the inventors, however, even if it sounds unfair it is reasonable. Having this in mind, to choose the greatest inventor of all time we must base this search in parameters about the invention’s transcendence, usefulness, availability, application and maybe some information about the inventor’s personal life that could be useful to match him with his greatness, otherwise it is irrelevant. That’s why I focused my attention on the most important industry of every country and the whole word, the pedestal of the human race evolution in the last centuries: the telecommunications; what is also very difficult to imagine us without them. When did they start? How? They could have started with the telegraph, but, the creation of the telephone is more important, considering that, the transmission of voice by an electromagnetic field as principle is the key for the develop of the subsequent technologies used in the transmission of voice and data.

But, who’s the inventor of the telephone? The man behind the “miracle” is Antonio Meucci, and not Graham Bell like many people thinks. Meucci was an Italian that immigrates to the United States, after being in Cuba. He was an engineer that worked in many theatres in Italy as stage machinist, and also in The Havana theatre in Cuba; something that it is important to notice is that this work needs a lot of creativity and effort, what could impel the life of invention that he had. He wasn’t the best entrepreneur because of his lack of success in this matter, but something that is sure is that the ideas and the initiative were always flying around his head; it seems that he was thinking in new ways to improve his surroundings the whole time, and also he had a special passion to create things, even when these were very simple and the money weren’t enough.
