Thesis: Nowadays, there are increasing numbers of Chinese student leave their hometown to pursue university degrees in the UK, Canada and the US with different reasons. Some of them want to improve their English to get an English-spoken countries’ university degree, some want to get different life experiences and some want to get a better career by using this way.
I. Improve English and further education
The most important reason is English became universal today, so they must learn English as second language to link up with the world.
A. In these countries like UK, US and Canada the English education system are more senior. In these countries they can practice spoken English all the time.
II. Get different experiences in their lives.
A. During the studying time they can not only travel but also get part-time jobs in these countries between semesters. They also have friends and work experiences in these countries.
III. Get a better job.
A. In some area English is the basic language. In computer sciences the system is set up by English like Dos, C, and C++. If they are interested in study in these fields that the English is necessary and the west part of the world is currency.
Conclusion: For these reason, the numbers of Chinese students who leave from China, their hometown, to pursue university degrees in English countries will be keep on increasing.
