A healthy planet, a better life
Today, our planet is in great danger which can be seen through undeniable facts of

global warming and the incredible growth of dangerous diseases. The results of unhealthy

environments have impacts on different spheres of our lives such as: climate change, health

and economy. On the other hand, environmental management involves sciences to find

possible solutions to reduce the impact of our civilization on the planet. Environmental

management decreases the risk of major diseases caused by the uncontrolled dumps and spills

of toxics and chemicals. A part of environmental management is also conserving natural

resources which is not only beneficial for healthy environments but also builds a sustainable

economy. However, many argue that waste management and protecting the environment can

be proven to be too expensive. Moreover, environmental pollution causes global warming and

climate change which can be reduced by environmental management systems. Conserving

natural resources and expanding renewable energy systems are positive changes to better

the world. We must protect our environment to reduce the corresponding risks to health, and

maximize the opportunities of building a sustainable future for our kids.

The environment greatly matters on the health of many people around the world. Based

on a research major diseases are growing faster in developing countries than developed

countries, where the concern of supporting healthy environments has yet been not achieved.

“The total number of healthy life years lost per capita as a result of environmental burden per

capita was 15-times higher in developing countries than in developed countries” (“Preventing

diseases through healthy environments”, WHO). Rate of diseases and injuries in developing
