Employee Profile
I would have to say that I am mix between the Xers and the Nexters. The reason that I say am a mix between these two cohort groups is because I entered the workforce when I was sixteen, so that would have been in 1998. However, I found the job that I really enjoy doing in the last few years.
My dominate work values are that I am hard-working, self-reliant, I am loyal to myself as well as others, and I am team player. The biggest influence that I can identify as shaping my values would have to be my mother. As I was growing up, my mom was a single mother. She had to work two jobs just to make ends meet, but somehow she always made time for her children. My mother showed me that no matter what life throws at you always make time for family. She also showed me that there is nothing more family.
I am work life balanced Xer because I can balance my work life and my family life. I try to make sure that my family is taken care in every possible way that I can take care of them. I am also a confident Nexter. The reason that I am a confident Nexter is because No matter what I am doing I stay positive and do my best at everything that I possibly can.
The way that I expect my work values to change as I get older is that I expect them to get stronger. What I mean is that as I get older and more experienced in the work force my values will become stronger and grow as I grow.
