Educations Impact

“How Will My Education Impact My Future?”

Education is often thought to be the threshold of life. I personally value my education and the benefits of it. My essay will explain why Alpha Kappa Alpha should fund the next step to reaching my life goals. I believe that I would be a perfect candidate not only based on my GPA but also based on the many different clubs/organizations I am involved in. For example, I am apart of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Spanish Club, Student Government Associated (SGA), and our Lacrosse team. I am not only involved in all these clubs/organizations, but I hold leadership position in all of them. With this scholarship I plan to further my education at Augusta State University in the field of Computer Science. With my degree I plan to help others by designing many “How To” software programs and various other programs to make other people’s lives easier when it comes to technology. After several conversations with many Alumni, I have discovered that they are some of the most influential women in my community. I am aware that the Alpha Kappa Alpha is known for their involvement with the community and helping others, so why not me. I have also become aware of the family bond and sisterhood that is complete and has afford then to live the lives they have chosen. Obtaining this degree will not only better myself and the lives around me, but will also be a positive example for young black women of today.
