Individual Behavior and Communication
There are many elements that can influence an individual’s behavior in the workplace. These elements can affect the way an organization communicates as well. Communication is important to make sure that everyone within the organization understands the structural goal. The way in which certain elements affect an individual can determine the way he or she manages an organization. Some of the elements that have a great impact on individuals are ethical responsibilities, diversity, leadership communication responsibilities, perceptions, and nonverbal communication to name a few. Seeing how these elements tie into an individual’s way of thinking can help better understand why some managerial decisions are made. There is often confusion from the blue collar worker when he or she is told to do something a certain way with no reason as why to do it that way. All co-workers have their own way of thinking and it influences team members in their way of doing their work. Comparing and contrasting these elements can help understand their true meaning. This can also help better judge the manager’s decisions when delegating tasks. In understanding individual behaviors, we can better see the way an organization communicates.
Ethical Responsibility
A manager has plenty of ideas to maintain a good workplace. Different factors help guide him as far as what he is able to do, and what he is not able to do. The manager needs to have certain responsibilities towards the organizational goals. One type of responsibility is ethical responsibility. The manager needs to be aware of circumstances that might not be correct for the workplace. Having ethical responsibilities can help steer a company from trouble (Lancaster University Management School [LUMS], 2008).
