It is surprising to believe that "A normal student who has over consumed alcohol takes about a week's time to get his cells back to normal." So, basically, if a student drinks every weekend, he would never be back to his senses. It is really a matter of concern among college students because the alcohol consumption among them is increasing every year. Is this trend helping the students in any way? I don't think so; it is in fact ruining their life, especially for college students as this over consumption problem has made them academically weak.. It is very necessary that a college student realizes their priorities and their limits, and plan accordingly

First of all, it is very necessary to know the definition of words like "over-consumption" or "over-drinking." Technically there is no finite definition of these words. It depends upon person to person how they define it. In my opinion, over-consumption of alcohol is drinking to a level above ones capacity. It's very necessary that one knows what his or her capacity is and if he tries to cross this capacity we can say he is "Drunk" or "Wasted." I am not against drinking, but overdrinking is a serious problem. There is always an excitement among the teenagers concerning "why we are not allowed to drink?" "Why do we have to wait till the age of twenty one?" "Can we break the rules and drink illegally." These are all the physiological questions which runs through the teenagers mind, and I also went through the same stage asking myself the same questions. However, in today's generation, I think most of the teenagers have lost their self control. They feel overdrinking signifies their emerging adulthood and they feel they look cool while drinking. Some students feel that after their busy schedule on the weekdays, overdrinking can help them to feel stress free and make them feel relaxed. And some of my friends feel that it helps to build a persons' self-confidence.
