College Dream

College Dream
Students often wonder what they will do after they graduate high school their senior year. Some students already have jobs lined up, some say that high school will be it for them, and some will go on to further their education in college. Although on rare occasions some people do exceptionally well without attending college, most of us need a college education to achieve the money we want to earn. That is why selecting a college to apply to is an extremely important process. Perhaps this is the biggest decision that will have the greatest impact on a person’s future. The college that a person attends often influences his or her personality, views, and their chosen career. It is my dream to attend a college that will not only expand my horizons but give me a new outlook on life, as well as change my life.
When I hear someone say that “it does not matter which college you attend”, “you can get a first-rate education at any college,” I tend to be somewhat doubtful. It is likely, as far as actual knowledge is concerned, that these statements to some extent are true. Physics and mathematics are the same, regardless of where they are taught, but the college itself, the people, and the surroundings of the city can impact and transform a person tremendously.
Achieving my goal of attending college is just the first step. I plan to put my best foot forward excelling through each college course. I want to absorb as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible. I will strive to maintain a high GPA level that will allow me even more opportunities that will open as many doors as possible.

While in high school I have discovered that I enjoy the subject Psychology. It has also been a dream of mine to become a Registered Nurse. I know that I can not attain either of these goals without a college education. Attending college will allow me the opportunity to possibly pursue Psychology and Nursing, or determine which one of them I want to accomplish...
