Coca-Cola: Analysis
The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) was established in 1886 and is one of the most recognized brand names than any other product on the planet. TCCC sells more than 400 types of beverages including diet or light beverages, sports drinks, water, teas, and coffee. The company’s headquarters are in Atlanta, Georgia where it employs more than 70,000 people. Coca-Cola’s inspired mission statement has helped the company achieve its rise to the top of the soft drink industry (MarketLine, 2008).

Mission and Vision of TCCC
Everything the company does is inspired by their Mission statement which is divided into three separate functions: (1) to refresh the world…in body, mind, and spirit (2) to inspire moments of optimism…through our brands and our actions (3) to create value and make a difference…everywhere we engage (Coca-Cola.com, 2008). Many can say mission accomplished as products are sold on seven continents and it is one of the most recognized drinks by over 95% of the world population. Also people consume one billion drinks per day in the world with an average higher than 10,000 beverages consumed per second (MarketLine, 2008).
In order for the company to continue to grow they have developed a vision and clear goals which are divided into 5 categories: (1) people: being a great place to work where people are inspired to be the best they can be (2) planet: being a responsible global citizen that makes a difference (3) portfolio: bringing to the world a portfolio of beverage brands that anticipate and satisfy peoples’ desires and needs (4) partners: nurturing a winning network of partners and building mutual loyalty (5) profit: maximizing return to shareowners while being mindful of our overall responsibilities (Coca-cola.com).
