ABSTRACT
Circular migration is recurrent migration from permanent residence to temporary residence. It has been an inevitable part of the rural scene of Pakistan. Owing to distribution of land, the size of farms is becoming too small to be sufficient for subsistence. Moreover, mechanical agriculture has caused shortage of employment opportunities in the rural areas. Therefore, male members of the rural families have to migrate to earn for the support of their families. But family has to reside back in the village due to link with the land and migrants’ too small income to keep the family at workplace. In this context both the family and the migrants have to suffer, though, family gains economic benefits.
