Career Plan Development Summary

Career Development Plan Summary   University of Phoenix   HRM 531   Richard P. Johanning   Sir,   In anticipation of converting my current contract billets to Department of Air Force Civilians (DAFC) I am proposing the following position descriptions and qualifications for four JEWC Red Team members and one first level management position. Based on our previous discussions and cost estimates we had room for a GG-14 for the management position, two GG-11’s, and two GG-13’s to round out the rest of the team. If we are able to get candidates for these positions immediately, we will need to leverage the new pay for performance plan when we go to the NSPS system in April 2009, which will allow us to offer a higher annual salary to keep us competitive with industry workers.   I plan on describing the National Security Personnel System (NSPS)and how the pay-for-performance system can work to their benefit if they work well as a team and individually. I will explain to the candidates the need for them to be proactive with working with their manager on defining SMART goals, objectives, and tasks when creating their performance plans. Furthermore, I will define expectations of each individual, and how the individuals will be evaluated as a team and how the teams actions, or inactions, can affect the JEWC reputation. I will then discuss our benefits package and career development opportunities.   The order in which I will describe my proposal follows:     Job descriptions and qualifications       Training program       Individual and Team performance methodology       Incentives and benefits package       Career Development       Compensation       Job Descriptions and Qualifications       Major Duties – _Electronics Technical 11/13 (four positions- Team Members)_   -Serves as a technical leader in the design, installation and operation of a wide range of systems for conditioning and distributing communication, data systems, networks and navigation.   -Develops equipment specifications...
