Career Development Plan Summary
Kudler Fine Foods was established in 1998 by Kathy Kudler who wished to provide top quality gourmet foods in California. The first store was La Jolla, which did quite well and opened the door for new opportunities, meaning expansion.
Kudler Fine Foods is in the process of restructuring its operations within its stores. We will be hiring for 5 new positions to work in the current three stores as well as the new store location, opening soon. This proposal will attempt to outline the positions needed, qualifications for those positions, training programs, and methods for delivering feedback, performance evaluations, teamwork evaluations, incentives and benefits, management strategies and finally a compensation plan.
Job Descriptions and Qualifications
As stated we will be filling 5 new positions. These positions and qualifications are outlined below.
Operations Manager – The new operations manager will oversee all day to day operations for all the stores. This will be a first-level manager who is in charge of all the staff. This person will report directly to Kathy Kudler, taking some of the tasks over so that she has more customer service time as this is lacking.
The Operations Manager will have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and 5+ years of experience managing retail.
Purchasing Manager – The Purchasing Manager will take over the purchasing, discounts, ordering and paperwork for Kathy for all three current stores, plus the new store that will be opening soon. The Purchasing Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager.
The Purchasing Manager will have a minimum of a 4 year degree in business or a related field, a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years experience in the food industry.
