Book Report Of Pride And Prejudice

1) Introduction

The book, Pride and Prejudice, written by Jane Austen, it's a really beautiful story, that turns around the Bennet family. Mr. And Mrs. Bennet, especially the last one, want to marry their five daughters to a good and rich man that could provide them a good life. Jane Austen wrote this book in a time that woman was supposed to get married with a guy who could provide a “comfortable” life for her. But sometimes the couple could get married just because they were in love with each other. Jane Austen shows, brilliantly, both of the situations on her book, for example : Jane married Mr. Bingley, and Elizabeth married Mr. Darcy, because they were loving each other; on the other hand, Charlotte, Elizabeth's best friend, married Mr. Collins because she was getting old and she was afraid to be a burden on her parents.
In the time that the history of the book happens, a man should only get married with a woman that was on the same social class that he was, and Jane Austen show that in the book when Mr. Darcy starts to be prejudice with the Bennet family.
The story is well conducted by Jane Austen, that shows the Pride that the rich families of that time had, and the Prejudice that the not so rich families suffered by the first ones, and the Prejudice one can have with another person before really know her.
