Athenians Vs Spartans

Athens and Sparta were cities in Greece. They both wanted their cities to be great. So they each had their own ideas for making their cities great.

The Athenians were very athletic like the Bible tells us to be in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27. On the other hand they worshipped idols like Bible tells us not to do in Exodus 34:14. The Spartans worked very hard like the Bible tells us to in Proverbs 6:6-8 using the ant as an example. The Spartans were nice to strangers like the Bible tells us to in Leviticus 19:34. But the Spartans killed "imperfect" babies like the Bible tells us not to do in Exodus 20:13 saying do not murder.

The Athenians loved athletic sports, beauty and idols. The Spartans loved war, hard work and the murder of babies. They also used very little words. The Athenians wanted an athletic and pretty city. The Spartans wanted a physically strong and healthy city. Both cities had their own gods and their own ideas for a great city. Which one would you like to live in?
