2008-2009 10th grade AP-Prep students:

The required summer reading is for ALL students entering Sophomore AP Prep English in the fall. When you return in September, you will be assessed on all of the material that you are expected to cover over the summer. This work is essential to your progress as an Advanced Placement student. This summer work will gravely effect your English grade, so please take it seriously. All the work will total 50% of your progress report grade. See breakdown of percentages below. While reading, respond to the attached study questions in the TS/CD/CM/CM format that you learned in your freshmen year (5% of grade). If you are not familiar with this format, respond thoughtfully in four sentences, citing an example from the text to back up your opinion. You will also be tested on the entire book the first week of school, so don’t just watch the movie. Read the book. (10% of grade)

4. After you have read the novel,...
