Abolish Animal Testing

Abolish Animal Testing
For the past 150 years, animal experimentation has been used to learn more about animals, and more controversially, to find out if certain drugs or products can be used safely on human beings. In recent years, with more knowledge of what actually takes place in the laboratories and the staggering number of animals used annually world wide (fifty million in 2007), the practice of animal experimentation is becoming more disturbing and unethical to many animals rights activists and many ordinary people around the world. Issues are being brought up such as the morality of testing for toxicity and poisoning animals, applying the discovered data to human beings, harming or even killing animals to market less important products such as cosmetics, and if it is possible to discover new alternatives to animal research. Until technology becomes advanced enough to the point where animal testing will not be necessary, is when scientists agree they will stop. They feel people should not be against animal...
