Subject:- Report on PRAXIS 2008

PRAXIS 2008 is known as the technical festival of V.E.S.INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. This tech fest consisted of all the competitions and events that test the technical knowledge of the students. The sets were raised up according to the theme that was decided. This year’s theme was “EGYPTIAN CULTURE”. Different posters and models describing the Egyptian culture were installed and displayed. The main sponsors for this tech fest were TCS, HP, MICROSOFT and ROYAL ENFIELD. In co ordination with BHARAT PETROLEUM, BPL, IDEA, NEX ROBOTICS.

PRAXIS was triggered off by an inaugural function that was attended by not so many of the students and council members. The chief guests were Mr. James and Mrs. Jincy from the TCS team. Also were present on the Dias the vice-principal of VESIT Mrs. And the staff in charges Mr. And Mr. .

The speeches delivered by the vice-principal and the General secretary Mr. Pranay Gupta were stupendous and received an overwhelming response from those present.

Then the registration desks were opened for all the students inclusive of all colleges. The arrangement made was good but the managing of the crowds was haphazard. A systematic queue would have solved the problem. Besides the registration desk were the stalls namely BUCKAROO- cowboy articles and accessories, ROYAL ENFIELD sporting its two brand new bikes, PNB that provided free ATM cards for the students, BPL that was distributing free voucher cards specially for the college students. Also installed were the food stalls that provided the delicacies to those attending the fest.
