The movie starts off by showing the atoms have just been born in the Big Bang. They are looking for partners (chemical change) and employment (physical change). Xenon and krypton set up as marriage counsellor and employment officer and conduct a series of marriages. Hydrogen and oxygen gets married and become water. Sodium and chlorine become common salt. They show that salt can be broken down by water but, it is not a chemical change it is a physical change. The water then evaporates to become salt again. The salt then also splits aka a divorce. A physical change is revisable but, a chemical change is harder or impossible. Copper can stand alone and turn into brass when zinc is added. A friendship is formed between iron and carbon to make steel but, this is a physical change not chemical because the molecules didn’t fuse.
