I used to live my life believing whatever I wanted to believe, follow who I wanted to follow and did as I pleased and didn’t care who I was to impress. I lived this way for about half of my life, probably until I was 35 years old. But something in me was missing I didn’t know what it was or how to describe this empty hole inside myself.
It was the fiftieth day after Passover and I decided to go to the fish market to get a fresh fish to cook for dinner that night. As I was just about to purchase my fresh and juicy fish I heard a loud commotion just outside of the market. I quickly gave the clerk my money and rushed to see what all the noise was.
As I approached the area just outside of the market I saw many people gathered together. As I got in a little closer I began to hear many people speaking in tongues. But it wasn’t that that I thought was odd it was the fact that people who spoke different languages and came from different ethnic groups could understand what one another was saying. In fact everyone there could understand, including my self. About a minute later something truly incredible happened.
This empty hole I had been living with and trying to fill or at least thought I was, was now filled. It was at that very moment in time that I understood what was missing from my entire 35 years of living. It was the presence of the Holy Spirit. I experienced the ultimate moment of realization. Now I’ve had many moments of realization but this one, this one was truly the ultimate one. In fact, I had had a conversion, but not just one conversion, several of them.
My first conversion was an intellectual one. I began going to church and learning the message of the Lord. I even spread the message my self, I taught people everything I knew. I learned Jesus suffered and died for our sins and takes away the pain of the earth. And that he is to come again and fulfill the...
