12 Things the Negro Must Do for Himself was written by Nannie Helen Burroughs in the early 1900’s. The author Nannie Burroughs says that there are 12 things the Negro must do for them that the government can’t provide for them. She says The Negro cannot expect God and White Folk to do for them what they can do for themselves. Other thing that Burroughs discusses is the need for the Negro keeps his children and home neat, clean, and attractive. Burroughs says that the Negro must stop blaming their failures on white people and the color of their skin.
Kevin Walker was born on January 17, 1984 to Dr. and Mrs. Gregory Walker in Pittsburgh Pa. I he went to Cardinal Wright K-8 and then went to Perry Traditional where he graduated. Kevin was a student an A student all the way up the 11th grade when things began to go south. He was inducted into the Crip Gang when he turns to a life of crime.
He went to jail and while in jail he decided to turn his life. He graduated from Perry with high honors and was accepted to Cheyney University of Pa with a full scholarship
